Hammer & Tongs Greetings Card

This A5 greeting card is printed with a design from our Museum collection.

'Hammer & Tongs' is a stained glass roundel, made around 1920 by artist Karl Parsons as an illustration to a poem he had written. In his poem, Parsons describes a cacophony of musical instruments playing a dance. The figures in his roundel are intended to personify this sound and are loved by visitors to the Museum for their comic ridiculousness.
