Beetles & Bloom

Artist Emily Smale founded Beetles & Bloom to share her collections of glass flowers and foliage. These pieces juxtapose traditional techniques of leading, painting and copper foiling with contemporary design to make heirloom quality ornamental artworks. The glass Emily uses is hand rolled, selected for the beautiful refractions of light its natural marks, textures and ripples create. Elegant single stems can be positioned to filter light, decorating a window ledge with glowing colour. Arrangements of several stems can create a sparkling bouquet of overlapping shape and colour.
