Exclusively designed for The Stained Glass Museum, this umbrella is decorated with a repeating pattern taken from a window in our collection.
'Moses Returns from Mount Sinai' is one of the Museum's examples of Gothic Revival stained glass. Made during the Victorian period in England, the Gothic Revival shows the influence of medieval stained glass on designers. Windows in this style will often place a central illustrated story within an elaborate border, often decorated with rhymical patterns of stylised foliage. Our umbrella takes a section of the 'Moses Returns...' border and repeats it's design to flow around the entire canopy.
