Handmade Quarry panel by Deborah Lowe

These diamond shaped panels are inspired by the decorative medieval ‘quarries’ that can be found in the windows of historic cathedrals, churches and manor houses. Employing the traditional techniques of ‘grisaille’ and silver stain, the quarries are hand painted with motifs of animals, birds and whimsical creatures. Each piece is unique, framed by a colourful ‘jumble’ border.

Made with the same methods and materials used to create their larger ancestors in churches and cathedrals, these panels are weatherproof, light fast and will last for centuries!

 Dimensions 27.5cmx17.5cm, each panel is fitted with a metal ring for hanging.

Due to the use of traditional glass making techniques, this panel contains lead. Lead is poisonous and can be harmful if ingested, therefore you are advised to wash your hands thoroughly after handling this item.
