Specialist Workshops at The Stained Glass Museum

The Stained Glass Museum has a regular programme of hands-on creative glass workshops led by professional artists working with glass.

Why not try your hand at traditional techniques of painting on glass, develop your leading/glazing skills, or learn about modern methods of glass fusing or copper foiling on one of our workshops?

Dates: Workshops are usually held on Thursday, Fridays or Saturdays between February and November. Our small classes (of between 6 and 8 people) enable you to get one-to-one tuition from experienced tutors.

Age: All our one-day glass workshops are suitable for individuals aged 18+. Please see our Safeguarding Policy.

Ability: You do not need any prior experience - our workshops are suitable for both beginners and those wanting to develop techniques. However, some workshops do require standing at a workbench for a period of time, and so a reasonable level of physical ability is required. All of our workshops take place in Ely, and start at around 10am with a break for lunch, finishing by 5pm (NB. some workshop times may vary slightly).

Access: Please note that our Glass Painting and Glass Fusing courses are located on an upper level only accessible via steps.

Cost: Workshops cost start from £60 for half day and must be booked in advance. All workshop costs are inclusive of materials, equipment and tuition. Please note lunch is not provided.
