Hare by Terry Chance

This adorable glass hare was handmade using the copper foil technique. Glass is scored and cut, edges are ground and then wrapped in copper foil. Wire work is added to create character and shape, and to form the paws that allow the hare to stand upright. Following this, both wire and foil are soldered with a mix of lead and tin. The hare is then given a thorough polish and adorned with a sparkly beaded tail and a shiny star charm above its head.

 

Dimensions, including wirework, approximately 10x.5x3cm.

All hares are made using a streaky green glass.

 

As a handmade original each hare is unique, slight variations are to be expected.
