Chicken by Terry Chance

This quirky chicken was handmade using the copper foil technique. Glass is scored and cut, edges are ground and then wrapped in copper foil. Wire work is added to create expression, tail feathers, and the clawed feet that allow the chicken to stand upright. Following this, both wire and foil are soldered with a mix of lead and tin. The chicken is then given a thorough polish and adorned with sparkly cherry red beading.

Dimensions, including wirework, approximately 8x.5.5x3cm.

All chickens are made using white opaque glass.

As a handmade original each chicken is unique, slight variations are to be expected.
