Collection: Tracy Chamberlain

Tracy Chamberlain is fascinated by the material properties of glass. Her art practice is an ever-expanding exploration of the medium, using techniques of copper foiling, leading, painting and fusing to create decorative works. She finds particular interest in the dualities within her material: glass can be opaque and transparent; colourful and tonal; project light and shadow; is fragile and strong.

The Lincolnshire countryside surrounding her studio - from its huge open skies to the tiny insect life crawling beneath - are often a source of inspiration for Tracy's work. Tracy enjoys juxtaposing subject and medium to emphasise their shared characteristics.
